Interim Outpatient Nursing Services Manager Location:
Moab, UT Job Type:
Contract (13 Weeks)

  • Friday On-call required (weekends, evenings, holidays)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Interim Outpatient Nursing Services Manager to lead outpatient nursing operations, including oncology, infusion, and wound care services. This is a working manager role that combines administrative leadership with direct patient care responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical & Leadership:
Supervise outpatient nursing staff (small team) Provide clinical oversight for oncology, infusion, and wound care services Deliver direct patient care as needed Ensure high-quality patient outcomes and care standards
Administrative & Program Management:
Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations Oversee budgeting, financial performance, and reporting Manage prior authorizations, billing, and coding processes Support outreach and referral development Coordinate onboarding, training, and staff education Maintain EHR compliance and documentation standards
Education & Quality Improvement:
Educate patients and families on treatment plans Lead staff training on best practices Support professional development of nursing staff Promote quality improvement and evidence-based practices
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of Oncology Nursing experience ONS Certification (required) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Active RN License (Utah) Minimum 3 years of recent RN experience BLS and ACLS certifications Prior leadership or supervisory experience Strong knowledge of EHR systems (Meditech preferred) Ability to manage both clinical and administrative responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Wound Care Certification Infusion Certification Experience in oncology infusion programs Strong financial and operational management experience Strong leadership and interpersonal skills For more details reach at or Call / Text at 516-587-6677 .
