More about our team The Clinical Manager - Emergency Department (Emergency Room) oversees the day‑to‑day operations of our 31‑bed Emergency Room , ensuring efficient patient flow, quality outcomes, and staff engagement. This leadership role partners closely with physicians and hospital leadership to maintain regulatory compliance, optimize workflows, and support a positive work environment. This position is 40 hours per week and offers schedule flexibility to support work‑life balance. How you'll contribute A Clinical Managerwho excels in this role: Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements. Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies. Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments; may provide patient care when necessary. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth. Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols. Applicants should have a current VA RN license or compact state Graduate of a professional nursing program Bachelors degree preferred but not required Additional requirements include: American Heart Association Basic Life Support required Experience in acute care hospital, preferred American Heart Association ACLS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Association (ENPC) required Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) Emergency Nurse Association, preferred) Minimum of one (1) year of RN clinical experience in an emergency department required.
