Job Description
Lead emergency care as an Emergency Services Nurse Manager and step into a high-impact leadership role where every decision you make elevates outcomes, inspires teams, and transforms lives. As an Emergency Services Manager, you'll drive clinical excellence across a dynamic emergency department in a nationally respected acute care hospital, shaping patient flow, quality metrics, and staff engagement in real time. If you're a visionary RN leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced settings, this Emergency Services leadership opportunity offers the platform, resources, and support to make your mark in emergency nursing leadership.
Join a mission-driven, innovation-focused organization as a Nurse Manager within the Emergency Department where nursing leadership is celebrated and empowered. The Emergency Services Nurse Manager will join a system consistently recognized for quality, safety, and patient experience, backed by cutting-edge technologies, advanced clinical analytics, and a culture of continuous improvement. From bedside innovation and simulation education to strong community partnerships and disaster-readiness initiatives, the Emergency Services Manager will benefit from robust professional development, tuition assistance, shared governance, and an inclusive environment that champions diversity, equity, and belonging—making this a career move that advances both practice and purpose.
Lead a high-acuity Emergency Department as an Emergency Services Nurse Manager within a designated acute care, Level II Trauma Center that serves as a regional hub for complex emergencies. The manager will guide operations across a busy ED that supports rapid triage, trauma response, cardiac and stroke care, behavioral health integration, and pediatric readiness—supported by modern resuscitation bays, streamlined throughput processes, and strong EMS collaboration. With a focus on evidence-based protocols, interdepartmental coordination, and exceptional patient experience, the Emergency Services Nurse Manager will ensure safe, timely, and compassionate care 24/7.
Inspire a collaborative, high-performing team as an Emergency Services Nurse Manager with clear reporting lines and strong infrastructure. The Nurse Manager typically reports to the Director of Emergency Services or Chief Nursing Officer, and partners closely with assistant managers, clinical educators, and charge RNs. Surrounded by friendly, seasoned emergency nurses and a diverse interprofessional team—including board-certified emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, radiology and lab professionals, pharmacy, case management, and social work—the Emergency Services Nurse Manager will oversee staffing, budgeting, quality and safety initiatives, regulatory readiness, trauma preparedness, patient flow, and performance improvement while receiving operational, analytics, and informatics support to excel.
Experience life in the Pacific Northwest as a healthcare leader and enjoy the best of Northern Washington living. Beyond just a clinical environment, the Nurse Manager will have easy access to snow-capped mountains, evergreen forests, and vibrant waterfronts for year-round hiking, skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, sailing, and whale watching. Savor a renowned food scene with fresh-caught seafood, farm-to-table cuisine, craft coffee, and award-winning breweries; explore lively arts, concerts, festivals, and family-friendly attractions; and experience a mild four-season climate perfect for weekend adventures to national parks, island getaways, and cultural hotspots. Outside of the hospital setting, the Emergency Services Nurse Manager will find welcoming neighborhoods, excellent schools, and a laid-back, outdoorsy lifestyle that makes every off-shift feel like a vacation.
Advance your career and be rewarded as an Emergency Services Nurse with competitive compensation up to $223,000, along with a full suite of health and retirement benefits designed to support your well-being and long-term goals. The Emergency Services Nurse Manager role also offers growth pathways, leadership development, and the chance to create a legacy of clinical excellence in emergency services.
