Job Description

Pueblo Springs Rehabilitation Center is looking to add a dietary technician to it's dietary department. The dietary technician is responsible for providing assistance in conjunction with nutritionists/dietitians in the everyday operation of food services. They plan and prepare meals that are wholesome and enjoyable. We are looking for someone that is energetic, takes initiative, and loves working with the elderly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works directly with nutritionists to design patients' diets. Monitors and records patients' eating patterns and report to the dietitian interact with the food-service staff in the kitchen to ensure that every meal is made in accordance with the nutritional guidelines Participate in meal planning and menu design. Serves as key link between residents and dietitian.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Degree in nutritional services or relevant professional experience required. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning. Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing food practices. Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
