Job Description
Vigilant Healthcare Solutions is seeking Clinical Dietetic Technicians / Health Technicians (Dietetic) to join a collaborative and highly respected nutrition and food service team. This is a long-term onsite healthcare contract opportunity in a modern, patient-centered clinical environment where nutrition care, food safety, patient satisfaction, and quality service are top priorities. You will support patient meal services, diet order management, therapeutic diet compliance, tray accuracy, bedside meal ordering, and patient meal preference documentation while working alongside Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, nursing staff, and Nutrition and Food Service professionals. Multiple positions may be available, offering the opportunity to be part of a strong, team-oriented clinical nutrition operation. What You'll Do Manage patient meal orders, diet changes, food allergies, meal preferences, and therapeutic diet requirements Print, prepare, review, and update meal tickets using nutrition software systems such as Computrition and Room Service Connect Conduct bedside and phone-based meal ordering while staying within each patient's diet parameters Monitor admissions, discharges, transfers, and diet changes to support accurate and timely meal service Check trays for accuracy and assist with tray assembly, nourishment labels, late trays, and meal delivery support Collect patient preference, allergy, and diet information to assist Registered Dietitian Nutritionists and clinical teams Support patient satisfaction activities, test trays, temperature checks, taste testing, and food service quality standards What We're Looking For Experience in hospital food service , clinical nutrition support, diet office operations, or patient meal service required Knowledge of tray assembly , tray delivery, meal ticket review, and modified diet procedures Familiarity with regular and therapeutic diets , including renal, diabetic, cardiac, dysphagia/IDDSI, and medical nutrition therapy diets Experience using dietetics software, nutrition software, patient meal ordering systems, or healthcare computer systems preferred Ability to use computers, phones, printers, email, data entry systems, and common office software Strong verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered customer service approach Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) credential preferred , or bachelor's degree / nutrition-related coursework preferred Ability to meet onboarding, health screening, TB screening, influenza vaccination, training, and background requirements Schedule & Coverage Coverage may fall between 5:00 AM and 8:00
