Job Description:
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8am- 4:30pm. No call required. Drive patient satisfaction by proactively rounding on patients and nursing staff, addressing concerns, and resolving meal-related issues with professionalism and empathy. Ensure accurate, timely meal and late tray delivery while following patient identification, dietary guidelines, and special protocols (e.g., isolation and diabetic trays). Assist patients with the meal ordering system, providing non-clinical guidance on modified diets and ensuring selections align with prescribed nutrition plans. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by adhering to proper sanitation standards and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Data Entry and general computer knowledge including e-mail [Required]
Language Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, families and associates of the organization. [Required]
Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ratio, and percent. [Required]
Computer Skills:
  • Possesses necessary skills to effectively operate hospital's admission, Food Service computer-based systems, which manage patient-care records. [Required]
Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. [Required]
