POSITION SUMMARY
The Room Service Ambassador follows established policies and procedures for verification of diet order accuracy in the room service ordering system, processes patient meal orders within therapeutic diet guidelines, communicates with tray line, dietitian, nursing and patients on patient food service related issues. Provides a high quality dining experience to patients which meets their nutritional requirements and service expectation regarding temperature, timeline and food quality.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
NA Other Licenses/Certifications:
Food Handlers Certification required within 6 months of hire.
Other skills/knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Bi-lingual Experience using a multi-line phone system Other requirements/information: Ability to read and check documents for accuracy on a daily basis Analytical skills necessary in order to modify/substitute or prepare patient meal trays when necessary according to dietary restrictions Excellent Mathematical skills required to accurately document percentage of oral intake and calculate patient Nutrients as orders are taken to ensure therapeutic compliance OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
