Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dietary Services Manager, where you will lead and oversee the dietary department to ensure the delivery of exceptional nutritional care. This vital role involves managing food service operations, supervising staff, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans. Your leadership will directly impact residents' health and well-being, fostering a positive dining experience that promotes optimal nutrition and quality of life. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional passionate about nutrition and compassionate care to drive excellence in dietary services.
Responsibilities Meal and Snack Preparation:
Plan, prepare, and serve breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinners, ensuring nutritional balance and appropriate portions.
Menu Planning:
Develop weekly or monthly menus adapt for allergies or special dietary needs, and follow approved menus daily.
Food Safety and Sanitation:
Maintain strict hygiene and safety practices in food preparation, storage, and handling; keep kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces clean.
Record keeping:
Maintain accurate records, including portion counts, menu changes, and inventory logs.
Supply and Budget Management:
Order and manage food and kitchen supplies within budget; shop for groceries as needed
Delivery and Scheduling:
Deliver prepared meals and snacks to classrooms or off-site programs on time.
Nutrition Education:
Provide nutrition activities or guidance to clients as part of the program.
Collaboration:
Work closely with program directors, supervisors, and other staff to meet program goals and health standards. Qualifications Culinary experience or training, plus a valid driver's license (for delivery duties) Ability to follow and adapt menus while maintaining nutritional integrity Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and MO DMH and CARF requirements Organizational skills for inventory, budgeting, and scheduling
Pay:
$16.00 - $25.00 per hour
