Position Details:
??? Why This Role Matters As a vital member of the NICU team, the Milk Technician plays a key role in ensuring every baby receives safely prepared and accurately labeled feedings. You'll support nurses, providers, dietitians, and families while helping maintain the highest standards of safety, compassion, and care. This position is an excellent stepping‑stone for individuals pursuing a nursing career—especially in neonatal care. ??? What You'll Do In this role, you will: Prepare, label, store, and deliver all infant feedings including: Mother's own milk Pasteurized Donor Human Milk (PDHM) Ready‑to‑feed formula Maintain safe and accurate milk handling processes Support the healthcare team with breastmilk distribution and inventory Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, and patient families Demonstrate Mercy's Mission, Values, and Service Standards in every interaction ???
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Current BLS Comfort using computers
Preferred:
1-2 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting Previous experience as a milk technician or pharmacy technician Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment ⭐ Who Thrives in This Role Student nurses seeking hands-on clinical exposure Future NICU or pediatric RNs Individuals passionate about infant care and family-centered service Organized, detail‑oriented team players who enjoy supporting clinical teams ???
