Job Description
The Diet Tech will support the Food Service Director in managing daily Dietary Department operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivery of safe, high-quality nutritional services. This role combines administrative duties with nutrition support to maintain efficient operations and accurate resident meal service. Job responsibilities &
Functions:
Perform administrative tasks including data entry, recordkeeping, reporting, and general office support Manage phone calls and emails that come from nursing and dieticians in regards to diet changes Maintain resident diet orders, nutrition records, and meal service accuracy Conduct meal rounds, assist with menu selections, and address resident concerns Monitor food quality, tray line accuracy, and ensure proper meal delivery Maintain systems such as resident databases and tray ticket programs Support inventory when needed Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and regulatory standards Assist with other duties and tasks in the kitchen and with the dietary teamQualifications:
Degree in Food & Nutrition or related field preferred, or 2-3 years of relevant experience Strong organizational, communication, and technical skills (Microsoft Office proficiency required) Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respectful communication Promote a clean, safe, and welcoming environmentOther Requirements:
Serv Safe certified a plus. Be able to work in cooperation with other staff members. Have an understanding of, affection for, and a desire to work with the aging.ABOUT THIS POSITION
This is a Full-Time (40 hours) hourly position, paying $18-$20/HR based at The Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ. The successful candidate must be able to cover assigned shifts on a regular basis, including holidays, and should be available to cover vacations/call outs of other team members on occasion.TO APPLY
