Contract | Local & Travel Candidates Welcome Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Dietetic Technician to support patient nutritional care within a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role involves assisting with meal planning, monitoring dietary intake, supporting therapeutic diet implementation, and collaborating with clinical staff to promote positive patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of nutrition principles, food safety standards, and dietary service operations, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities Assist with patient meal planning and dietary support services Monitor and document patient food intake and nutrition-related information Support implementation of therapeutic and specialized diets Educate patients on basic nutrition and dietary guidelines under supervision of a Registered Dietitian Maintain accurate dietary documentation within EMR systems Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards Coordinate with nursing and healthcare teams regarding patient dietary needs Assist with food service operations, inventory management, and meal distribution Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree in Dietetic Technology, Nutrition, or related field preferred DTR (Dietetic Technician, Registered) certification preferred or required per facility guidelines Minimum 1 year of experience in dietary services, nutrition support, or healthcare setting preferred Knowledge of therapeutic diets, nutrition principles, and food service operations Familiarity with EMR systems preferred CPR/BLS certification preferred or required Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
