Bilingual WIC Nutrition Technician UNFHCC - Erie County WIC Program Erie, PA Job Details Full-time 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off On-the-job training Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Bilingual Foreign language proficiency Computer operation Intake Driver's License Attention to detail Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Immediate Opening for Bilingual WIC Nutrition Technician Job Duties include: Front desk reception, completing intake process for program, scheduling appointments, and answering phones Providing basic nutrition education to clients, referring to WIC nutritionists when appropriate Handing WIC card benefits Documenting client education/contacts in electronic record system Operate Hemocue equipment and perform lancet blood draws for anemia screenings on women and children ( on the job training provided) Translating in clinic as needed Skills needed: Candidates must be fluent in English and one other language and be comfortable translating Works well with people from all cultural backgrounds and situations Proficient in basic computer/technology skills, able to use computer for documentation and scheduling. (Must be comfortable with technology such as desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and card readers) General knowledge of evidence-based nutrition practices is ideal Willingness to learn and work cooperatively with other team members Strong attention to detail Office/receptionist experience preferred

Required:

Access to vehicle and possessing current driver's license - travel may be required between WIC clinics including to rural sites throughout
