Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Nutrition Room Technician This role is full-time working (40 hrs/week) working 8-hour shifts with a varied schedule including weekends as needed by the department. Nutrition Room Technician Job Responsibilities:
The Nutrition Room Technician is responsible for ordering, receiving, handling, storing, preparing and delivering human milk and formula. This includes mom's expressed milk and donor milk. Preparation techniques should adhere to all sanitary regulations and standard and will be consistent with the 3d
Edition of Infant and Pediatric Feedings:
Guidelines for Preparation of Human Milk and Formula in Health Care Facilities. This role is also responsible for ensuring the environment meets facility and cleanliness standards, training and onboarding other technicians, and participating in educational opportunities. May perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education :
High School diploma or
GED Preferred Qualifications:
Previous clinical experience or previous nutrition experience, highly preferred
