Job Description Responsibilities NICU Dietary Technician Location:
Bon Secours St.
Mary's Hospital of Richmond Pay Rate:
$22 an hour
  • Part-time Work Shift:
    9 am
  • 5 pm, 1-2 days Monday
  • Friday, and rotating weekends
Job Description:
Must be available 8-24 hours per week Weekend availability and rotating holidays required
Responsibilities:
Preparation of daily human milk and formula infant feeds according to written formulations or recipes Document, label and store prepared feedings for infants according to policies and procedures Deliver prepared feeds to NICU refrigerators daily Maintain records of infant feeding orders, preparation and inventory using electronic medical record and milk tracking systems Operates all equipment needed to prepare feeds for infants in a safe, sanitary manner Assist and train other technicians as needed to help department operate efficiently
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old Diet technician or associate nutrition degree preferred 1-2 years experience as a diet technician or related field in medical setting Basic math skills required, including ability to pass a competency test post-training related to job function Good personal hygiene, neat grooming and dress code compliance (scrubs, hats, masks provided by hospital) Effective verbal and written communication
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged standing and walking throughout the day, frequent stooping, bending and lifting up to 40 pounds Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions Must be able to pass background check and drug test
