POSITION SUMMARY
Supervised by the Clinical Nutrition Manager. Provides clinical and technical support to the department in the areas of patient diet orders, menus, meal choices, patient nutrition screening, assessment, education and follow-up care.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE
• Successful completion of a Commission on Dietetic Registration approved Dietetic Technician Program and subsequent CDR registration (NDTR), or successful completion of a bachelors of science degree in dietetics with at least 10 continuing education hours per year and others as determined necessary by the department director and/or senior dietitian. • Maintenance of active CDR registration required for Dietetic Technicians, Registered.
EXPERIENCE
At least one year of health care nutrition and food service experience preferred.
