Job Description

Nutrition Assistant Anacortes Family Center | BoysGirls Clubs of Skagit County Part-Time (25-29 hrs/wk) | $20.30-$22.38 DOE/DOQ (+$1.00 Anacortes Differential) Some people follow recipes. Others understand that every meal served is part of something bigger. We're looking for a Nutrition Assistant to support our Fidalgo Island Nutrition Coordinator in preparing, packaging, delivering, and serving nutritious meals and snacks for youth throughout Anacortes. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a kitchen environment, takes pride in staying organized, and understands that the little details matter. In this role, you'll help keep food service operations running smoothly by preparing meals, packaging, organizing inventory, maintaining food safety documentation, delivering meals, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen. You'll be an important part of the team that ensures youth have access to healthy meals each day. The right person for this position enjoys creating order out of busy days, notices when something is out of place, and finds satisfaction in supporting work that directly benefits children and families. Whether you're helping prepare meals, organizing supplies, or delivering food, your work helps create positive experiences for local youth. Previous food service experience is helpful, but just as important are reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to help where needed.. If you enjoy being part of a team, working behind the scenes to make things happen, and knowing your work makes a difference, this could be a great fit. If you love food, appreciate a well-organized kitchen, and want your work to have a meaningful impact on kids in our community, we encourage you to apply and learn more about the opportunity.
