Job Description

Overview Occupational Therapist | Acute Care | Valdez, Alaska, United States | Start 07/20/2026 | Weeks | $2,120-$2,224 per week | Guaranteed 72 hours per 2 weeks (may be reduced by one 8-hour shift every 2 weeks) |
Shift:
5x8 Days | Clinical setting supporting inpatient, swing bed, long-term care, and outpatient services. This travel assignment requires a valid state OT license (pending accepted) and is designed for professionals prepared to work across inpatient and outpatient care streams.

$2,120-$2,224 per week Guaranteed hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks Start date: 07/20/2026
Shift:
Day shift, 5x8 schedule
Setting:
Hospital-based care continuum including inpatient, outpatient, and LTC/SNF services
Housing:
Facility-provided housing (typically 1-bedroom), with standard pre/post-contract housing terms Responsibilities Conduct OT assessments and deliver treatment for a broad spectrum of acute and chronic conditions, spanning infants to geriatrics, with emphasis on functional activities and ADLs Plan and implement individualized treatment programs across inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care settings; utilize standardized assessments and developmental testing as appropriate Address feeding techniques (oral/motor) and other foundational skills; support discharge planning and care transitions between care settings Document care in the charting system (Epic preferred); maintain compliance with core measures and safety goals Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and care coordinators to optimize patient outcomes and smooth transitions between settings May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliated sites; confirm float expectations with the hiring manager prior to submission
Requirements Education:
OT degree from an accredited program (Master's or Doctorate level)
Licensure:
Valid state OT license required; pending license accepted (processing 10-12 weeks)
Certification:
BLS required
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; first-time travelers not accepted; pediatric and inpatient experience preferred
Population:
Experience across
Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics Additional:
Must be able to work in inpatient/outpatient/LTC environments; locational distance requirement: permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility
Compliance:
2 references covering the last 3 years (may include Charge RNs/Lead);
COVID-19
not required; Hepatitis B vaccination required
Pre-start:
Mandatory modules (~16 hours on average); >20 hours may require PM approval; completion tracked in
Workramp Charting:
