Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in pediatrics. This role involves working closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that enhance their ability to perform daily activities and improve their overall quality of life. Responsibilities Assess patients' physical and mental abilities through comprehensive evaluations. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities in areas such as self-care, work, and leisure activities. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including speech therapists and nurses, to provide holistic patient care. Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments. Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and strategies for home practice. Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment within clinics or home health settings. Requirements A valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Alabama. Experience in pediatrics is preferred. Familiarity with speech therapy techniques is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to assist patients with diverse needs, ensuring compassionate care at all times. Previous experience in clinic environments is desirable. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in occupational therapy.
