Job Description

Position Overview A well-established multidisciplinary pediatric therapy practice in Athens, Alabama is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OTR) to join its growing clinical team. This position primarily serves infants, toddlers, Pre-K, and school-age children, with patients ranging from birth through age 19. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for conducting evaluations, re-evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to ensure high-quality patient care. This role offers scheduling flexibility and the opportunity to work within a collaborative, team-oriented therapy environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings. Perform periodic progress reviews and ongoing patient assessments. Collaborate with Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to oversee treatment plans and patient progress. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills, functional independence, and overall quality of life. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs, adaptive strategies, and therapeutic recommendations. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members and support staff. Patient Population Early Intervention (Infants and Toddlers) Pre-K Children School-Age Children Adolescents (up to age 19) Primary caseload consists of pediatric patients. Schedule Flexible scheduling available Full-Time preferred Monday through Thursday or Monday through Friday options available Approximately 36-40 hours per week for full-time providers Qualifications Active Alabama Occupational Therapy License required. Pediatric experience preferred. Experience in outpatient, school-based, or pediatric therapy settings strongly preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop individualized care plans and collaborate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams. Experience working with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing challenges, or related pediatric populations is a plus.
