Job Description

Occupational Therapist OT Job Summary:
Highlands Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team! As a member of our multidisciplinary therapy team, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and regain independence. We offer a supportive and dynamic work environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' occupational needs and develop effective treatment plans to improve functional abilities and independence Design and implement individualized therapy programs, incorporating various techniques and modalities Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment techniques and strategies Stay current with evidence-based practices and industry developments, applying knowledge to improve patient care
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution Current OTA/OTR license in the state of Alabama or willingness to obtain Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold patient privacy standards
