Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' growth and development as a school-based Occupational Therapist near Florence, AZ. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to empower children and young adults to succeed in the classroom and beyond. Make a difference each day by crafting individualized treatment plans, promoting sensory and motor skills, and fostering students' independence and participation in daily school activities.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Prior experience in school or pediatric settings as an Occupational Therapist is strongly preferred Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy is required Active Occupational Therapy license in the state is mandatory Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Compassion and a student-centered mindset
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students to determine needs and develop tailored intervention plans Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with each student's IEP or 504 Plan Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to ensure interdisciplinary support Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings Adapt interventions and resources to the school setting, maximizing student success Offer guidance and training to staff as needed As part of this opportunity, you will benefit from weekly and competitive compensation based on your experience.
