Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting students as a full-time Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting. This contract position offers the chance to make a daily impact by helping children reach their highest potential and thrive in their school environment. Your expertise in pediatric occupational therapy will ensure that students receive thoughtful, individualized interventions to strengthen skills essential for success in both classroom and everyday activities. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of educators and therapists, while building rewarding relationships with students and their families.
Desired Qualifications:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist Experience providing occupational therapy services in schools, or with pediatric populations Knowledge of IEP processes and familiarity with special education services Strong communication and collaboration abilities Ability to assess and develop treatment plans tailored to each student's needs Compassionate, flexible, and positive approach working with children (NSY experience preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students' functional abilities relevant to academic participation Develop and implement individual and group therapy sessions addressing fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, and self-care skills Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of goals and objectives Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to maximize student outcomes Document assessments, progress, and interventions according to school and regulatory guidelines Provide training and consultation for staff and families on strategies to support students
