Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' growth and success as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference during the Extended School Year (ESY) session, with the potential for continued work into the next school year as well. Set against the scenic backdrop near Mount Lemmon, AZ, you'll collaborate with dedicated educators and help students improve their skills in a supportive environment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Arizona Experience working in school settings, preferably with K-12 students Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation Excellent communication skills to engage students, families, and school staff Collaborative approach and adaptability in dynamic learning environments Passion for empowering students with a variety of needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop targeted OT interventions for students Implement individualized therapy plans to address students' fine motor, sensory, and functional needs Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings as required Provide consultation and support to teachers and families for effective OT strategies in the classroom and at home Adapt activities according to each student's needs and abilities, ensuring a positive experience This contract role runs from June 1st to June 25th, with a convenient schedule of 9am to 1pm, Monday through Friday.
