Job Description

Summary of Skills and Responsibilities The Occupational Therapist for BBA Family will lead all life‑skills, creative‑skills, and behavior‑support programming within the day program. This role blends clinical OT practice with hands‑on creative instruction and behavior coaching to support neurodiverse teens and young adults in developing independence, job readiness, and daily living skills. Core Skills Required Strong clinical background in occupational therapy, including sensory regulation, fine motor development, executive functioning, and life‑skills training Ability to design and run structured creative and vocational centers (Cricut, heat press, retail setup, barista station, maker‑space, and hands‑on project‑based learning) Experience supporting neurodiverse learners with calm, consistent behavior strategies Ability to create and implement individualized behavior supports and train staff on proactive approaches Strong organizational skills to build systems, routines, and structured rotations Independent, self‑directed worker who can set up centers, projects, and materials without supervision Clear communication skills for coaching staff, supporting families, and collaborating with program leadership Ability to integrate OT principles into creative, functional, and real‑world skill development Primary Responsibilities Develop and oversee life‑skills and job‑skills curriculum for BBA Family Build and maintain creative vocational centers and ensure they run smoothly Provide OT‑based strategies to support sensory needs, regulation, and engagement Train staff on OT‑informed approaches, behavior supports, and structured routines Support participants in building independence, confidence, and functional skills Maintain documentation, progress notes, and program materials Collaborate with the Program Director to ensure consistency and high‑quality programming
Pay:
$41.34 - $52.00 per hour
