Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide patient-centered care in either clinical and/or home health environments, helping clients improve their ability to perform daily activities and achieve their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities Home Health Responsibilities:
Conduct in-home evaluations to assess the patient's living and functional environments and needs. Design and implement tailored therapy programs that accommodate the patient's home setting. Provide education and training to caregivers on how to assist patients effectively. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed. Advocate for necessary home modifications and equipment to enhance patient safety and independence. Foster strong relationships with patients and their families to encourage engagement and motivation.
In-Clinic Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' functional abilities and needs. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive skills. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, speech/physical therapists, school professionals, and ABA staff to ensure comprehensive care. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercises, and strategies to improve independence. Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Valid Arizona licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Experience in a pediatric clinical setting and/or home health experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed. Capacity to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
