Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an enriching contract position as an Occupational Therapist supporting a pediatric clinic on a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. The assignment runs for 6-12 months, offering ample opportunity to make a significant difference in children's lives while refining your expertise in school-based therapy settings. This position is conveniently located and designed for those with strong collaboration skills and a passion for working with pediatric populations in educational environments.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapy license in California is required Experience providing OT services in schools or pediatric clinics strongly preferred Understanding of school-based therapy protocols and IEP documentation Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for working with students, faculty, and families Proven ability to tailor interventions to pediatric and school-aged children Strong organizational skills with attention to compliance and reportingKey Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions to students (ages 6-12) in a clinic dedicated to pediatric care Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with students' academic and functional needs Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development when needed Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports accurately and promptly Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to ensure integrative support for each child Provide guidance and resources to educational teams regarding sensory and motor development Imagine gaining valuable experience in a supportive environment, where your expertise will foster growth and independence in young learners.
