In this role, you will conduct treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The Occupational Therapist will also maintain a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff If you are an experienced Occupational therapist passionate about providing high-quality care, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes with other specialists. Review patients functional needs and adjusts care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Designs and implements a plan of care for patients based on thorough assessments of potential development and incorporates participation by significant others whenever it seems possible. Conducts therapy practice within defined standards of care. Directs the assistance of support staff to achieve patients functional goals. Communicate effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes. Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans. Regularly updates documentation Provides direction and leadership to staff and acts as a resource to promote physical therapy in the community. Qualifications Current Therapy license and CPR Certified Communication skills. Occupational therapists must clearly explain treatment programs, motivate patients, and listen to patients' concerns in order to provide effective therapy. Ability to explain complex medical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner Excellent observational and assessment skills
