Occupational Therapist

Category Therapy - Hospital - OT Job Type Contract An experienced Occupational Therapist with a California license and an active BLS certification is sought for a contract position providing home health therapy services in the Guadalupe, CA area. This role focuses on delivering expert OT care within geographically assigned regions, primarily supporting orthopedic, stroke, joint, and spinal injury patients in a home-based setting. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of relevant experience and familiarity with OASIS documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer occupational therapy treatments to patients in their homes across designated areas. Collaborate with physical therapy and speech therapy teams to provide comprehensive rehabilitation. Complete government-mandated OASIS forms accurately and timely. Maintain professional business attire with a white lab coat during visits; jeans are not permitted. Adhere to scheduling that is mostly Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with weekend coverage every third weekend and occasional holiday coverage if needed. Participate in a floor-specific orientation lasting 1.5 to 2 weeks to gain familiarity with protocols and electronic medical records (Cerner).

Qualifications:

Active California Occupational Therapy license. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum two years of full-time OT experience; home health familiarity preferred. Experience working with OASIS forms is required. Ability to work independently and manage caseload within assigned regions. Strong communication skills and professionalism.
