PRN Licensed Occupational Therapist Chatterbox Speech Pathology, Inc Long Beach, CA Job Details PRN $45 - $55 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Teamwork Assisting with ADLs Occupational Therapy Pediatrics Occupational Therapy License Full Job Description Chatterbox is an clinician owned and family centered private practice providing speech and occupational therapy for children of all ages. Chatterbox is committed to serving children and their families by emphasizing the whole child in a neuro-affirming, child led atmosphere. We are currently seeking a PRN licensed pediatric occupational therapist to provide therapy on an as needed basis. The occupational therapist will conduct evaluations and provide treatment to help children meet developmental milestones, overcome sensory challenges and improve self-care, play and self-regulation skills. Key areas of development that will be addressed include: fine motor, cognitive, sensory, social emotional, activities of daily living, and feeding.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment Create and Implement individualized treatment plans. Administering therapeutic activities that promote motor coordination, sensory integration, self-care, and self-regulation. Addressing sensory processing disorders and developmental delays. Collaborate with other occupational therapists , speech pathologists, and other team members to create an interdisciplinary approach to treatment. Monitor and document client's progress, adjusting activities as needed and reporting back to the supervising therapist. Educate and support families on activities and strategies that can be carried out at home to encourage ongoing progress. Maintain a safe and engaging environment for children to thrive during therapy sessions. Adhere to professional standards, policies, and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations.
Qualifications:
Current Certified Occupational Therapy license in the state of California Experience working with children with a wide range of needs Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team. Knowledge of sensory integration and Floor-time approach is a plus. Pay:
$45.00 - $55.00 per hour
