Job Description

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated and highly skilled Mammoth Outpatient Rehabilitation team. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation of patients referred for occupational therapy treatment, formulation of a treatment plan and goals, and administration of the occupational therapy treatments. The Occupational Therapist shall be active in outpatient services and shall interact with all hospital departments and medical staff. What you'll do: 1:1 patient care with one 45 min appointment every hour Performs appropriate evaluation tests and measurements based on the patient's diagnosis. Sets measurable goals and functional outcomes based on the evaluation with input from the physician, patient, and family members as appropriate. Develops a logical treatment program based on the assessment. Reassesses and revises the treatment plan as necessary, at the minimum every 6 weeks. Performs occupational therapy techniques appropriate to the diagnosis. Demonstrates use of physical modalities appropriate to the diagnosis. Documents progress reports for patients seen for multiple occupational therapy visits in a timely manner to coincide with physician follow-up visits, and to assist with compliance for insurance carriers and utilization review companies for authorization and reimbursement.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited program of Occupational Therapy and a licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of California. Outpatient and hand based therapy experience preferred. American Heart Association BLS certification required. Ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, ancillary departments, and patients.
