Job Description

Symbal Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students in the school setting during the 2026-2027 academic year. The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with educators, families, and related service providers to help students develop the skills necessary for academic success, independence, and participation in school activities. Key Responsibilities Assess students' functional abilities and identify areas requiring occupational therapy services. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in accordance with students' IEPs. Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students with a variety of disabilities and developmental needs. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals and progress. Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records. Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations regarding student services and accommodations. Train and consult with school staff regarding strategies, adaptive equipment, and classroom modifications. Monitor and evaluate student progress and adjust interventions as needed. Qualifications Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current California Occupational Therapist License. Previous experience working in pediatric or school-based settings preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and school-based therapy services.
Pay:
$80.00 - $90.00 per hour
