Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students during Extended School Year (ESY) programming this summer. This role focuses on providing essential occupational therapy services in a welcoming educational environment near Novato, CA. The assignment runs from June 22nd through July 17th, with a consistent schedule of 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday—making it ideal for those seeking a structured, short-term placement.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in California Previous school-based OT experience preferred Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational staff Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) Assess students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities within the educational setting Develop targeted intervention programs to support students' participation in classroom and school activities Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to optimize student outcomes Maintain accurate and timely records for therapy sessions, student progress, and required documentation Contribute actively to ESY planning and multidisciplinary team meetings This short-term opportunity is perfect for professionals who enjoy making a meaningful impact during the summer, while maintaining flexibility for other commitments.
