Occupational Therapist School Setting in Paramount, CA

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available for a school-based setting serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade in Paramount, CA. This onsite contract role offers the opportunity to support a diverse caseload within an educational environment, helping students develop essential skills for academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy services to K-12 students, addressing physical, sensory, and cognitive needs. Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans. Conduct evaluations and develop intervention strategies tailored to student needs. Document progress and maintain accurate records following school and regulatory guidelines. Participate in IEP meetings and assist in goal setting for student development.

Qualifications:

Current California Occupational Therapy license is required. Experience working in a school-based setting preferred. Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy principles. Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and families. Commitment to supporting the educational growth and wellbeing of children.
