Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a positive impact this summer by supporting students during Extended School Year (ESY) programming! A contract occupational therapy opportunity is available for a highly motivated professional who enjoys working with school-aged children in an educational setting. This position is located near Petaluma, CA and runs from June 22 through July 17, providing the perfect short-term assignment for those seeking meaningful work and a summer schedule. The role is structured for 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday, offering flexibility and a balanced work-life experience. As an Occupational Therapist, you will collaborate with educators and families, address student IEP goals, and help children achieve their fullest potential during ESY sessions.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California Experience in a school-based OT setting is preferred Familiarity with documentation for IEPs and ESY programs Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to motivate and encourage students Adaptable and able to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary and/or secondary students enrolled in ESY Facilitate fine motor, sensory, and self-care skill development according to IEP goals Communicate progress with faculty, parents, and support personnel Maintain accurate records and document student sessions Participate in team meetings as required
