Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential occupational therapy services within a vibrant educational environment. Your expertise in school-based occupational therapy will empower students to achieve their fullest potential. You'll have the chance to work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams, helping students overcome obstacles and thrive in the classroom.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of California Prior experience delivering OT services in a school setting preferred Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and adaptations for diverse learners Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize multiple responsibilities A passion for supporting children's developmental, social, and academic success
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' needs and goals Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and intervention plans Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support student participation and performance Provide direct therapy to students, both one-on-one and in small groups Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and district requirements Offer recommendations for adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and strategies to enhance student access and independence This position offers the flexibility of contract work in a supportive school environment where your dedication will be valued and your expertise will make a difference.
