Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Occupational Therapist interested in working with elementary students on a part-time basis. With a manageable schedule of three days per week (24 hours) across elementary sites, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners' development while maintaining work-life balance.
Key Qualifications:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR) Experience with school-based OT services, especially in elementary settings Comfortable and knowledgeable in supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs Commitment to fostering student independence and participation in school routines
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine students' functional abilities and needs within the school environment Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans in collaboration with teachers and support staff Supervise and support a COTA, ensuring high-quality and compliant delivery of OT services Promote fine motor, sensory processing, visual-perceptual, and self-care skills essential for school participation Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school and district policies Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, support IEP development, and communicate progress to families and teams Engage in ongoing professional growth to update knowledge and practices
