The Occupational Therapist will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans designed to improve functional independence, safety, and quality of life. This is an independent contractor (1099) position. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for maintaining independent contractor status, including required licenses, insurance, taxes, and scheduling availability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform occupational therapy evaluations and reassessments in patient homes Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs Provide therapeutic interventions to improve: Activities of daily living (ADLs) Fine motor coordination Upper extremity strength and mobility Cognitive and perceptual functioning Home safety and fall prevention Recommend adaptive equipment and home modifications Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans and safety techniques Complete documentation accurately and within required timelines Communicate patient progress and coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members Participate in care conferences as needed Maintain compliance with Medicare, HIPAA, California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and agency requirements Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Current and unrestricted California Occupational Therapist license Current CPR/BLS certification Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience preferred Home health experience preferred Valid California driver's license Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Independent Contractor Requirements Maintain active professional liability/malpractice insurance Responsible for all taxes and independent contractor obligations Maintain all required licenses and certifications Provide own transportation, phone, and basic work equipment Compensation Competitive per-visit compensation based on visit type and experience: Visit TypeCompensation Range Routine OT Visit$85
  • 120 per visit OT Evaluation$100
  • 150 per evaluation OT Reassessment$95
  • 135 per visit OT Discharge Visit$90
