  • Part-time, Full-time Occupational Therapist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join College Oak Nursing and Rehab.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans to help individuals achieve their maximum potential. The successful applicant will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care.
Duties:
  • Conduct patient assessments to identify physical, cognitive, or emotional barriers to daily living.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence, mobility, and overall well-being.
  • Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques, including occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other relevant modalities.
  • Work in a variety of settings, including clinics, hospitals, and pediatric care facilities.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on proper techniques and strategies.
  • Manage patient cases, ensuring timely and effective treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, speech therapists, and physicians, to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Monitor patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment outcomes.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, including and geriatric care.
  • Strong patient care skills, with a focus on empathy and communication.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient populations.
  • Proficiency in case management and the ability to manage multiple patient cases.
  • Familiarity with speech therapy techniques and their application in occupational therapy settings.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
