- Part-time, Full-time Occupational Therapist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join College Oak Nursing and Rehab.
Duties:
- Conduct patient assessments to identify physical, cognitive, or emotional barriers to daily living.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence, mobility, and overall well-being.
- Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques, including occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other relevant modalities.
- Work in a variety of settings, including clinics, hospitals, and pediatric care facilities.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on proper techniques and strategies.
- Manage patient cases, ensuring timely and effective treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, speech therapists, and physicians, to deliver comprehensive care.
- Monitor patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment outcomes.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, including and geriatric care.
- Strong patient care skills, with a focus on empathy and communication.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in case management and the ability to manage multiple patient cases.
- Familiarity with speech therapy techniques and their application in occupational therapy settings.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
