Occupational Therapist
POSITION SUMMARY
Provides occupational therapy and sensory integration services to students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental disabilities. Provides individual, group and classroom services specific to IEP goals and services. Ensures treatment efficacy, adherence to internal policies and procedures, and regulatory compliance. Provides ongoing hands-on training, support, and supervision of goal implementation and data collection to ensure quality and consistency of service provision. Functions as a collaborative member of the school team to promote an optimal student and team member experience in line with Kadiant values.Job Highlights:

Conduct or oversee assessment, and monitor ongoing performance of fine motors, perceptual motor, sensory motor, and oral motor function Develop fine motor, perceptual motor, sensory motor or oral motor IEP goals and objectives Establish appropriate environmental modifications to support student achievement Develop and implement activities designed to target the acquisition of/or compensations for deficits in fine motor skills, sensory motor skills, visual perceptual skills, and self-care skills Assist in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs); adhere to IEP legal and timeline requirements Prepare progress reports for individual students including progress on goals and recommendation for occupational therapy/sensory integration services Implement service delivery on assigned students based on the goals, objectives, and service time as determined by the IEP team Schedule service delivery based on individual student and school needs Maintain communication with IEP team members (e.g., annual and progress reports, consultation, telephone calls, informal notes, etc.) Work collaboratively in positive, problem-solving manner, with flexible approach and active communication across Directors, administrative and clinical team, modeling and promoting company values Participate in meetings, IEPs, and other school related activities and initiatives Consult, instruct, and assist classroom team in the implementation of goals and strategies specific to targeted skills Ensure completion of administrative duties (e.g., maintain records of service delivery and outcomes, current schedule, working files on students, intervention notes, supervision of COTAs) Follow all Company policies and procedures, as outlined in Team Member Handbook and other written documents. Perform other duties as requested.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Certified Occupational Therapy license (OT) Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from approved/accredited OT program, required Minimum 2 years' experience in public or private educational setting, preferred Knowledge of clinical theory and its application as it relates to the student's educational needs, preferred Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/word processing software and the internet. Maintains required trainings Sensitive to working with ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse populations. Exceptional communication and leadership skills that foster the skills necessary to educate, train, motivate, empower, reinforce, influence, coach, provide feedback, and effectively execute conflict resolution.
