Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational environment as a full-time Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year! This contract opportunity offers a rewarding chance to support students' development and functional success while working in an itinerant role across multiple school sites near San Juan Bautista, CA. As an Occupational Therapist, you'll play an essential part in helping students reach their fullest potential—making a real impact on their daily lives. Ideal candidates possess experience delivering occupational therapy services within school settings and are enthusiastic about collaborating with diverse teams of educators, families, and professionals. This role is open to travel candidates who thrive in a variety of work environments and embrace flexibility.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program Valid California Occupational Therapist licensure (OTR/L) or ability to obtain prior to start date Successful completion of fieldwork in a pediatric or school-based environment Experience with customized evaluation tools and individualized education plan (IEP) processes Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across different campuses Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills Collaborative approach with staff, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and document progress clearly and professionally Travel between assigned school sites to deliver therapy and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings Offer training and support for instructional staff providing accommodations or modified interventions Maintain current knowledge of best practices and state/federal regulations related to school-based OT This contract position allows you to engage in enriching experiences across varied locations.
