Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract This part-time position offers an opportunity to provide occupational therapy services within a school setting for students in Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade. The role is based in Santa Cruz, CA, and is scheduled for approximately 8 hours per week, spread over two days from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM during the 2026-2027 academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to the needs of TK-5th grade students. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that support student success. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapeutic strategies as needed. Provide consultative support to teachers and staff to promote inclusive classroom environments. Maintain compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations governing school-based occupational therapy services.
Qualifications:
Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings. Strong knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and therapeutic techniques. Skilled in working effectively with children ages 4-11. Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities. Ability to manage time efficiently within a part-time schedule.
