Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Enhance student success and well-being as a full-time Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year! This contract position provides an exciting opportunity to make an impact in educational settings near Yreka, CA. You'll collaborate with a supportive team, working across various school sites within a positive and forward-thinking environment, serving a diverse population of students.
Key Qualifications:
Current and valid California Occupational Therapist (OT) license (CCA OT License required) Prior experience in a school-based OT role preferred Strong understanding of sensory integration, assistive technology, and motor development Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to adapt strategies for students with diverse needs and backgrounds Commitment to fostering inclusion and supporting educational goals
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions for students as indicated by IEPs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure continuity of care Conduct evaluations and contribute to eligibility and placement meetings Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines Offer training and resources to staff and caregivers on strategies for classroom success Adapt therapeutic activities to various school settings as assigned
