PPBOCES.org Join the Pikes Peak BOCES team that supports special education and related services across nine rural school districts in El Paso, Elbert, and Fremont counties. 179 Day School Year Contract - summer break, 1 week at Thanksgiving, 2 weeks in Winter, 1 week in Spring and closure for most federal holidays. Occupational Therapists lead the process in development, implementation, and coordination of the Occupational Therapy within an IEP . Screening, evaluation, educational program and transition planning, therapeutic intervention, and exit planning is provided for students identified with or suspected of having disabilities that interfere with their ability to perform daily life activities or participate in necessary or desired occupations as outlined under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Colorado Exceptional Children's Educational Act (ECEA).

Occupational Therapist Qualifications:
1. Master's Degree or higher obtained from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program 2. Hold or be eligible to hold a Colorado Special Service Provider License with an endorsement in Occupational Therapy 3. Three years of experience in a school setting, preferred Ability to drive to different school sites, Reliable Transportation Required, Mileage Stipend added based on assignment.Reports To:
Director of Special Education or Assistant Director of Special Education Starting Salary Reflects Masters Degree and some experience.
