Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Looking to make an impact as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the Denver area? An exciting contract opportunity is open for the 2026-2027 school year, offering full-time hours in a dynamic school setting. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting students' independence and academic success while collaborating with educators and families. Assignments will vary and caseload details are still being determined, making this an excellent option if you enjoy adaptable and evolving work environments.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Colorado Department of Education (DOE) certification required Valid Colorado Occupational Therapy License Previous experience in schools or working with pediatric populations is highly desirable Strong communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills Collaborative attitude and willingness to contribute as part of an interdisciplinary team Comfortable working onsite in a school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative OT services, supporting students' participation in the school environment Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans focusing on developing functional skills and promoting student engagement Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to integrate occupational therapy strategies into daily routines Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and school district policies Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student goal-setting Adapt services and interventions based on each student's unique strengths and needs
