1 Description American Traveler is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute inpatient assignment in Colorado, working 10-hour day shifts every other weekend. Details Acute inpatient care setting serving Medical/Surgical, Intermediate Care (IMC), and ICU patient populations Common diagnoses include CVA/strokes, general neuropathy, general weakness, and orthopedic and surgical cases Daily caseload of 8-10 patients 10-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM-6:30 PM Every other weekend required Block scheduling with some flexibility Epic EMR used in this position COTA available on staff for support Requirements Active Colorado OT license required (license required if applicable); pending licenses are not accepted Minimum 2 years of OT experience required Current BLS (AHA) certification required; pending certifications are not accepted Acute inpatient care experience required Ability to work independently conducting evaluations, facilitating early mobilization, and assessing discharge safety 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Valid driver's license required for consideration Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility Additional Information Responsibilities include conducting OT evaluations, facilitating early mobilization, determining mobility status, and assessing patient safety for discharge or transfer to a rehabilitation unit Orientation consists of 3 shifts; clinicians must be in-state for the full orientation week even if initial modules are completed remotely No mandatory scrub color assigned for this role Holiday coverage follows the every-other-weekend schedule Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit or affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered Travelers are expected to float within their assigned zone and are responsible for securing housing that accommodates this requirement
