Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity awaits for a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to support a close-knit school community on a contract basis. Begin making a difference right away by working onsite with a small private school, delivering high-impact therapy to a select caseload of 8-9 students. With approximately 70 students in total, the environment is intimate, collaborative, and allows for truly individualized intervention. This full-time assignment averages 32.5 hours per week, beginning ASAP and continuing through the end of the school year, with a confirmed extended school year and potential for renewal. You'll work closely with students ranging in age and needs, providing essential therapy services that empower their success in both school and daily life.
Ideal candidates will bring:
Active OTR/L or COTA licensure in Connecticut Prior experience working in school-based, healthcare, or home health OT settings Comfort providing direct therapy and consultative services within educational environments A genuine passion for supporting diverse learners Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families Strong documentation and time management abilities Primary responsibilities include: Delivering direct and consultative occupational therapy to students as outlined in their individualized plans Collaborating with educators and support staff to promote student participation and goal achievement Developing, documenting, and monitoring therapy objectives and progress Engaging families regarding student progress and strategies for support Participating in IEP meetings and school-based teams as needed This position offers the stability of a consistent weekly schedule and the fulfillment of helping each student thrive.
