Pediatric Occupational Therapist Tulip Therapy, LLC Glastonbury, CT Job Details Part-time $40 - $50 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Continuing education credits Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications Patient assessment Research Working with children Data collection Occupational Therapy License Full Job Description We are seeking a part-time, licensed occupational therapist to help us support our growing team! Seeking a dependable, creative candidate who enjoys the challenges and rewards of working with children ages from birth through age 18, although our clinic specializes in working with infants and toddlers so this would be the primary population served. This position offers a flexible range of hours, ultimately 1-2 days per week are preferred but there can be opportunity to grow this range, if desired. Candidates must be educated in supporting infant feeding, or willing to learn to further support infants with early feeding/breastfeeding concerns, as this is a very high portion of our population. We are happy to support continuing education for this need. Responsibilities Perform assessments of new clients, including children with complex medical needs Develop and implement a plan of care and interventions in a technically competent manner Instruct clients/families in exercises and activities to promote their function Exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences Apply the latest research related to pediatric practice Complete documentation (including evaluations and discharge summaries) to support the delivery of physical therapy services Perform selected data collection and obtain accurate information Adhere to ethical and legal standards Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge Must be reliable, and have a reliable vehicle for transportation Skills Proven working experience as occupational therapist •also willing to work with newly graduated clinicians, or clinicians less experienced in pediatrics, with good references• Excellent knowledge of physiology best practices and standards Hands on experience with therapeutic exercises Ability to communicate and instruct effectively Strong documentation skills Licence to practice in
CT Pay:
$40.00 - $50.00 per hour
