Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity making a lasting impact in an elementary school setting near Westport, CT. This full-time Occupational Therapy role runs ASAP through the end of the school year, providing vital services to young students eager for growth and support. Your expertise will empower children to reach their academic and personal milestones through individualized interventions and collaboration with a dedicated team.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license Experience in schools or pediatric therapy preferred Solid understanding of OT best practices within educational environments Ability to evaluate and develop IEPs for elementary-aged students Skilled in delivering therapy services to support fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills Proficient communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
Your Responsibilities:
Provide direct OT services to elementary students based on individual needs and IEP goals Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings Develop and implement intervention plans to enhance academic access and functional independence Collaborate regularly with general and special education teachers to support classroom success Maintain detailed and organized documentation as required by school standards Consult with families on home strategies and progress updates Enjoy the opportunity to make a daily difference while gaining experience in a friendly educational environment.
