Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity serving elementary students as an Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year! This contract position is conveniently structured over two full days and a half day weekly, with a balanced focus between direct student services and essential meetings and testing responsibilities. You'll be working with a dynamic K-6th grade population, starting at the end of August and extending through the end of the school year. As caseloads continue to grow, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact while working collaboratively in a supportive educational environment. This assignment is currently expected to be in person, with a possibility of moving to a virtual format as the school year approaches.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license required; Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) are also welcome to apply Experience supporting school-aged children, particularly K-6th grade Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, staff, and families Comfortable participating in meetings, assessments, and planning sessions as part of an interdisciplinary team Adaptability to transition between in-person and virtual modalities, if necessary
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct OT services to K-6th grade students, addressing their educational and developmental needs Collaborate with educators and specialists to develop and implement individualized intervention plans Participate in meetings, assessments, and multidisciplinary planning sessions, dedicating a half day weekly for these activities Monitor progress and maintain accurate records consistent with school and district standards Enjoy the benefits of working in a flexible contract role with a manageable part-time schedule and opportunities for professional growth.
