Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an impactful contract opportunity near Middletown, DE, supporting students and families through expert occupational therapy services. This dynamic position is tailored for professionals who thrive in both school and home health environments, offering the variety and challenge of working across settings to maximize student success.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering tailored occupational therapy assessments and interventions within school and home health settings Collaborating closely with educators, families, and healthcare providers to develop and implement student-centric therapy plans Supporting students' access to curriculum and daily activities by addressing fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behaviors Engaging actively in IEP meetings and documentation to ensure compliance and progress tracking Adapting sessions and strategies for the precisely unique needs of each student in various environments Maintaining clear and timely communication across school teams and with families Contributing to a supportive environment for students with diverse backgrounds and abilities Remaining open to possible Non-School Year (NSY) needs to provide continuous support Desired qualifications and experience: Hold a current Occupational Therapist license for Delaware Prior experience in school-based settings, home health, or healthcare OT preferred Strong ability to manage caseloads efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative educational setting Skilled in developing individualized treatment plans and documenting progress Flexibility to provide services as needs arise during both the school year and potential NSY periods Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfort working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team If fostering student development across diverse settings excites you, consider this rewarding contract role.
